I have assistant stage managed an Off Broadway show, acted in an Off Off Broadway showcase, auditioned semi-successfully for a conservatory acting program, and gotten a job as a Personal Assistant to a well-known Broadway actress and director. And I couldn't have done any of it in Gambier, Ohio!"
