  • Find out the requirements for off-campus study at your institution.  Your career services, off-campus, or international studies offices should be able to help you.
  • For a list of college liaisons, please click here.  If your school is not listed, you can still apply to the New York Arts Program, but you will need to work with your school to insure that you receive the academic credit that Ohio Wesleyan University issues to each student. We are happy to provide information about the program to your Office of Off Campus Studies, advisor, or registrar.  Contact 212-563-0255 or info@nyartsprogram.org
  • Insure your credits will be transferred by having your college provide their official signature on your application form.
  • Please download one copy of the application form and two copies of the Recommendation form.

Recommendation Form

Each applicant is required to write a letter of intent which states his or her purpose for wanting to study and apprentice in New York. This letter should state the type of apprenticeship desired.  Submit this letter with your application.

A personal interview is required of all applicant, either by phone or in person. Because of the nature of the relationship between participant and sponsor, the New York faculty advisor meets with each applicant to determine the applicant's potential ability to work with a potential sponsor. After the faculty advisor interview, appropriate sponsor interviews are arranged by the New York faculty advisor and the applicant visits the potential sponsors to explore the projected apprenticeships.
