All full semester 15-week students receive 16 units (or semester hours) of academic credit for participating in the New York Arts Program. (10-week students receive 10 2/3 credits.) Our accredited managing college, Ohio Wesleyan University, will issue the academic credit.
Credit Breakdown for the Full 15-Week Participants:
12 credits for the 30-40 hours per week Internship Placement 1 credit for the first set of Seminars 1 credit for the second set of Seminars 2 credits for the completion of a quality journal
Total = 16 credits or semester hours
Credit Breakdown for the 10-Week Participants:
8 credits for the 30-40 hours per week Internship 1 1/3 credits for two sets of Seminars 1 1/3 credits for the completion of a quality journal
Total = 10 2/3 credits or semester hours
Grades for the New York Arts Program semester are on a pass/fail system, unless your home campus specifically requests letter grades.
Transferring Course Credit At the end of the semester, the New York Arts Program forwards your evaluations and transcripts from the semester to Ohio Wesleyan University, who then processes them and sends them to your home campus.
